Regarding Israeli Regime’s military aggression against the territory of The Islamic Republic of Iran on

13 June 2025

 On 13 June 2025, the Zionist regime of Israel breached the territorial integrity of the Islamic Republic of Iran and attacked areas inside Iran, including many civilian and public areas in Tehran and other cities of the Islamic Republic of Iran. Several civilians and senior officials of Iran are assassinated and wounded.

The Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Bucharest condemns in the strongest terms the Israeli regime’s acts of aggression against Iran, as a blatant violation of international law, in particular the International Human Rights and International Humanitarian Law, and the United Nations Charter, specifically the principle of prohibiting the threat or use of force against the territorial integrity and national sovereignty of states.

In response to this aggression, Iran is fully entitled to exercise its legitimate right to self-defense in accordance with Article 51 of the United Nations Charter, and the armed forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran will not hesitate to defend the Iranian nation and the territory of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

The Islamic Republic of Iran, as a founding member of the United Nations, whose philosophy is to prevent aggression, breaches of peace, and threats to peace, emphasizes the duty of the Security Council of the United Nations to take immediate action to react to aggression and breach of international peace and security by Israel. In this respect, the duties of the UN Secretary-General in accordance with the UN Charter are also recalled. All members the United Nations are expected to immediately condemn this aggression and to avoid rendering any aid or assistance to Israeli aggressor.

The dangerous and far-reaching effects and consequences of the Zionist regime’s aggression will be the responsibility of this regime and its supporters.
